Christmas at the Nielsons

Last week was Christmas. My father drove down and my brother who is going to Qatar next week flew out and it was the first time in almost four years that our whole family was together for Christmas. Dad made his amazing pizza and my niece and nephew got a truck load of presents. We went up to my aunt Diana's house on Christmas eve. It was nice to see everyone together, but it was still sad since my uncle died a couple months ago. This year we had a retired mall Santa come. On Christmas we opened presents and my dad made a GREAT breakfast. The next day I had Christmas over at Garit's parents house. We played games and his mom even made me a blanket. His sister and a friend of the family also gave me gifts. I wasn't even expecting anything! Even though it was a pretty stressful holiday, It was one of the best Christmas' I have had. So a couple days ago I got a call from the doctors office. They told me that both of my moles they took off were fine. so hurray! I don't have cancer! Heres a pic of the one they took off my back:

The beast is dead!

Yesterday was a day I mark in history as the day I finally overcame my fear and went to the dermatologist to remove my mole. I walked in thinking it would be just to show her and then re-schedule to get it chopped off. While talking to her we decided to take another one that was on my back off as well. I glance over to see the assistant preparing some needles...."WHAT???" she told me it would take only 10 min tops...I started to panic...but I sucked it up and laid down on the table. I can honestly say it wasn't that bad! Then 3 hours later my mole by my ear started bleeding and really hasn't stopped. so here's a gross picture!

So once again my life is being turned around completely. Since my last post I got a different job cleaning REALLY nice houses. I was homeless for 2 weeks and then moved into a 2 bd apt with my good friend Marika. School started and for the last couple weeks my life has been like a well oiled machine. but yet again everything as changed. *sigh* well it was good while it lasted. On my usual browsing threw craigslist.org I stumbled upon a job posting for a live in maid..It came with free a free room, utilities, 1000 a month and possibly a car to drive around. I thought "why not" and wrote them an email. They asked me to come for an interview so I did. It was a relatively young couple and two guys renting the down stairs. It went really well and not even ten minutes after I left they called me back and said "We loved you! When can you move in?" So now, not only do I have a new job but again I have to move. Ill be honest, I'm pretty nervous about the cooking part...They are on this special diet where they don't eat meat or dairy products. I'm going to have a hard enough time cooking let alone cooking vegan practically. So if anyone has some easy recipes just let me know! Oh and a couple of weeks ago Dad and Jude came down for a couple days...here are some pics! Love ya guys :)

the new die hard movie PWN'D the earth

So a lot of new awesome movies have been coming out this summer. One of them that you have to see is die hard. Even if you haven't watched the other ones this still is a "must see" also this weekend I ended up seeing transformers twice. Harry potter is coming out next week and its looking like its going to be a good one.

Things have been super busy this last month or so. I got a new job working for sprint. I hate it more than anything but come September I'm going to be making really good money. Plus I get commission. I'm moving out of student housing within the next month. I have two friends who I'm moving with so I'm REALLY excited for that. And my student aid has cleared so all I have to do is figure out how much I get and enroll in some classes. Next weekend I'm planning on going camping, I'm pretty stoked about that. So yeah things are very stressful but its going to be well worth it in the end!

So I went to see spinderman 3 and if you haven't seen it, no matter what the critics say, its the best one so far. I don't want to give away to much so lets just say it ruled!

This weekend was way fun. I hung out with a bunch of people, got my hair cut again...yep...good times.

VERY delayed update...

I don't know how many times I've sat down at my computer and started writing, only to get distracted and never post. A lot of things have been going on (surprise, surprise)

I have a couple weeks to find a new job. (long story) So far I've had one interview with Verizon. I really hope they call me for a second.

I went to go see my father and Judy a couple weeks ago. It was really nice to spend some time with them, get away from all the stresses of life for a couple days and just relax. There is something about Oregon that makes a person just relax...It must be all the trees.

bloggy things...

A lot has been going on in my life. Since I moved back to Utah I've been in sort of a "funk". I stopped going to church, kept putting off going back to school etc. All I really did was go to work and then over to my boyfriends house. well, since him and I broke up I have been feeling the need for change. I'm taking the initial steps to get in school. I'm planning a couple of trips which include Portland, Florida and possibly Cali if I can get a week off from work (which I doubt) I have a lot of things I need to catch up on. I'm almost payed up on my car and rent is going down during the summer so I'm really excited.Things are good. I have a feeling its going to be a really good summer...Oh and my brother painted my car pink...which is way fun...Im going to get a new camera so ill be taking a alot more pictures.

So for those of you who don't know already (which I bet are none) I got a new job...again...Ive been working at fine arts dental lab for about two weeks now and today I got to do the job Ive been helping with all by myself...leisha, the girl who usually does it (and garits sis) was up in salt lake with her boy and his family for today and tomorrow...And I'm proud to say that it went well...there were a couple of bumps but all in all it was a good day.

I'm starting to get really excited for summer...Yesterday it was really warm so me and garit went to the duck pond...after walking around, chasing ducks, swinging a bit I got bored really fast...so we left. but it really made me want to be summer so we can go camping and do all the fun out doorsie stuff.

On Saturday garit and I baby sat for my brother and sisters kids... I was so surprised how good they were...when they left I was for sure that the kids were going to cry, but they just waved and said bye...it was awesome...I love those guys..

Other than that there really isn't anything going on...till next time.

new job??

So I got a new job...Its with verizon in the orem mall...to be honest...Its not the greatest job in the world, but hey, it pays well so im happy with that. Plus if they like me and hire me to be more than just a greeter then they will pay for all my schooling which is way cool. Also I put my contract up for sale and looking for a new place. And I fear that I will be homeless for a while. Why do I put myself in these situations? heh. Well thats all I wanted to write. Until next time....

Better things!

So today was Garits and my "day-o-fun" It started off pretty normal. I took my car up to my bro's place since my oil leak was still pretty bad. He took a look at it and decided that I needed to take it into a mechanic. So he looked up a good one (hes the greatest!) so I took my car and they said that they could fix not only my oil leak but also my anti-freeze leak that ive had since I got the car for pretty cheap. I was SO happy! Me and garit then went and ate the GREATEST food dennys has ever served and ran around town for a bit. When I got my car back we headed up to slc for the DAY-O-FUN! We played at the planetarium, walked around the mall, at some chocolate and at California pizza and just acted stupid for a while. Then we went to see the blue man groups "how to be a mega star" tour. That I got tickets to a while ago for our anniversary. Ive Sean the blue man before so I thought it was going to be more for Garit then me. I was so wrong! I can honestly say that this was the BEST concert ive ever been to. And we were pretty close too. On a side not: I HATE DRINKING AND SMOKING SO MUCH! All in all it was a GREAT day! And now I need to bring myself back to reality and go back to my crappy job......dangit....X a billion/3 ................................................................billion HA! You didn't think I was going to say billion!

My troubles!

Well recently I've been kind of down. A lot has been going on and for a while there I thought things just went from bad to worse. Things at work were getting pretty bad. Two of my managers quite this past week and everything is going to change. There is talk of the old children's supervisor coming back and I fear that I will be demoted. And on top of that, last week I lost my pay check :s

A couple weeks ago my mother broke her leg. Last Sunday I went to visit her and lets just say it wasn't the best experience.....

A week or so ago my car started making a weird clicking noise. I put some oil in it and the clicking went away. Two days later the clicking noise was back so I checked the oil. IT WAS BONE DRY! So it looks as though I had a major leak somewhere. And I need to get new plates asap, so I also need to get a new windshield (there's a HUGE crack down the driver side)


BUT! Things are starting to look up. Yesterday my sweet boyfriend crawled under my car to see what was going on. He figured that the filter was leaking so we went and spent 50 bucks on a new filter, pan, and oil and he fixed it. Your amazing boyfriend!! Now I think my car has a chance to live! A weird thing happened while he was working on my car. I was eating carls junior (sorry dad!) and he had oil all over his hands so I asked if he needed a towel and he said yes so I ran towards my apt. Right when I turned the corner I heard screeching tired and a crashing noise... As a dumby as I am I still went into my apt and grabbed a towel. As I came back out to my car there was a terrible wreck. There was a car ON TOP of another car! (Garit will probably have pictures up soon) all I could do is stare in disbelief. It was literally right infront of where I parked my car. They blocked off the road and even the 2 news helicopter was flying over head and soon there was a crowd around my car of onlookers...After a while I got kind of annoyed because people just kept coming. Seriously, there were vans of Latino family's getting out and just standing there. This one little boy was trying to rip down one of our apartments flags! Garit went back to fixing my car
and after I moved my car and we went inside to get a jug to put my old oil in. An hour later we came back outside and the road was still blocked off! Thankfully no one was seriously hurt.

Some news..

So today I recieved an email from my aunt Trisha (I was living in north carolina with her and my uncle) So here are a couple of things that are going on:
Uncle joel has lung cancer, It spread to his liver and a couple of lymph nodes. I dont know this man very well. I spent christmas with and aunt sue a couple years ago. He seams really nice..When a family member is going threw something terrible like this you cant help but feel it. Even if you dont know them that well.
Grandpa has undergone some testing to see if he is a candidate for a pacemaker. I didnt even know his health was bad, but I guess thats my fault for not keeping in touch.
All night I have been thinking about this email, my family that I spent a year and a half with and now I dont talk to at all. How can I lose touch so easily with ppl I connected with and have helped me more than almost anyone? I feel terrible. Im going to try to keep in contact, I really am. Well its 1:30 so I should be getting to bed....

p.s. If anyone knows of a non retal job, let me know....The seach continues!!

So I decided....

That I was going to try writing in this a lot more! Well its Sunday and conference and yet again I have to head out to work soon. I this is my 8th or 9th Sunday in a row that I have to work. Needless to say IM looking for a better job. I have a couple of leads but nothing to concrete. The good thing was, I didn't have to work yesterday so I got to watch the first 2 sessions with garit. It was really nice. Me and him went out with a couple of his friends and their girlfriends on Friday..It was really fun. We went to Zapas? Zupas? Whatever...It was this soup and panini place that was soooooo good and then we went to see lady in the water, despite what critics say, it was a REALLY good movie. Anyways...IM late for work. Sorry I couldn't write more...

Just a little catch up

So its been a while since I posted something so I thought id tell you all a couple of things that are happening..

If some of you don't know, I work up in American fork at kohls as a sales supervisor. I am over the children's department that consists of boys,girls, infant and toddler apparel. Well, lately there has been rumors that they are splitting my department in half, which I think is a good thing. I would be over boys and girls and someone else would be over infant/toddler. And even though I would have to help them it would mean less stress over the holiday season. Hopefully ill still be full time. At the same time though I am currently in the market for a new job. I need something that I can have a regular schedule and possibly weekends off (I can only dream!) The main reason is because I rarely see a day off that falls on a Sunday. Second,when I go back to school I would have to go back to being just a regular associate and go back to making 7.50 and hour and part time. There is no way that I could make rent since the rates went up for the winter.

Any who...Things have been pretty boring around here. Im starting to want to go on a trip again or start up a fun sport like snow boarding or skiing, but I doubt I would really do anything cool. If anyone has ideas, let me know...

Im still dating Garit. As far as I know things are going pretty good with that ;)

associate shop is this weekend...And I think I may have to pass on the things I put on hold for myself. Its starting to get cold and I know I need to eventually get some warmer clothes but it will have to wait until another time...Its funny, im more broke now that I got my raise then I was when I was making 7.50...funny how that works....

Recovery

So heres a picture taken a couple days after sugary. I ended up not puffing up that much (the pineapple trick ;) and recovery wasn't that bad. Although my bottom ones are still in pain I would like to report that my top stitches have fallen out and are pretty much fully healed. Sorry it took to long to post again, the picture was on garits work computer....

In less than 24 hours...

So tomorrow at 9:15 I will be put under the knife!!! Thats right im going into surgery.... its not that bad im just getting my wisdom teeth out FINALLY, but im still tarrified...Ive never had surgery before...I dont really know what to expect. Everyone I talk to that has had theirs out tell me different things. Some say I will be better by the next day, some say ill need all the time I took off (4 days) Knowing me im going to be a complete baby. Atleast the only person that has to deal with me is my amazing boyfriend, garit, who has taken work off so he can take care of me all day tomorrow. Ill try to take a nice fat face pic of myself and put it up...
